The class action against Cencora, Drug wholesale company states that it has failed to properly safeguard and secure the protected health information and personally identifiable information of its patients from “criminal hackers” during a data breach disclosed in May.
Lawsuit against Cencora Drug Wholesale Company
In the lawsuit, Cencora had a responsibility to safeguard its patients’ private information from unauthorized disclosure and theft. “Plaintiff and Class Members relied on Defendants to keep their Private Information confidential and securely maintained and to only make authorized disclosures of this Information, which Defendants ultimately failed to do”.

Wolford alleges that Cencora is at fault for negligence, negligence per se, breaking an implied contract, unjustly benefiting, and breaching fiduciary duty.
