Sharing My Personal Experience Using The Idun Setting Spray.

I got the Idun Setting Spray because I have been on a hunt for something to keep and set my makeup. Something that would not give me breakouts. I saw an Ad for this spray on Tiktok where a lady was reviewing it and I decided to try my luck with it. Placed an order for mine on Amazon and it arrived just on time.

Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. Here’s what I experienced: The nozzle doesn’t provide a fine mist, which is a huge letdown. Instead of gently covering my face, it sprays in more concentrated droplets, making my makeup look patchy. I found myself having to pat down areas with a sponge after each use, which defeats the purpose of a quick setting spray. While it claims to lock makeup in place, I didn’t notice much difference in how long my makeup lasted. After a few hours, I found my foundation starting to break down in my T-zone, which was disappointing considering I had used a primer too.

The texture and feel was off, after spraying it on, my face felt a bit sticky and tacky, which was uncomfortable. The sticky texture didn’t fade away, and it never gave my skin the refreshed or set feeling that I was hoping for.

If you have oily skin, this setting spray might not be the best fit. Instead of controlling shine, it seemed to make my skin oilier as the day went on. It might work better for people with dry skin, but for me, it wasn’t helpful in keeping my makeup matte or in place.

What I however liked about the Idun Setting Spray is the ingredients and the fact that it is fragrance free. I do appreciate that Idun focuses on gentle, skin-friendly ingredients, especially since I have sensitive skin. There was no noticeable irritation or breakouts, so at least it’s safe to use for those with sensitive or allergy-prone skin.

I liked that the spray was fragrance-free. It didn’t overwhelm my senses like some setting sprays tend to do, which is a plus if you’re sensitive to strong smells.

What I Like About The Idun Setting Spray

  • One thing I did appreciate is that it didn’t have a strong, overwhelming fragrance. It’s more neutral in that regard, which I think would be a plus for people with sensitivity to scents.
  • I do appreciate the focus on clean, gentle ingredients in the formula, as Idun tends to cater to sensitive skin.

How To Use The Idun Setting Spray

Use after makeup to set your look. Hold bottle 30 cm away from face and spray evenly. Keep eyes and mouth closed. If the spray gets into eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.

How Much Is The Idun Setting Spray .

Idun Setting Spray is sold for $29.90 on the idunminerals.us website.

Cons

  • It is kinda expensive.
  • It is not for oily skin.
  • It does not have a nice texture.
  • It doesn’t last long

Conclusion

For the price, the Idun Setting Spray didn’t deliver the results I expected. It failed to set my makeup properly, didn’t extend its wear time, and left an uncomfortable sticky finish. There are other setting sprays on the market that perform much better at a similar or even lower price point, so I’d recommend looking elsewhere if you’re in the market for a reliable setting spray.

Check out the Beplain Cleansing oil , I talked about earlier if you are a makeup enthusiast like me!
