Sharing My Personal Experience Using The Magcubic HY300 Pro Projector
I saw an Ad for the Magcubic HY300 Pro Projector on social media, I was impressed and then placed an order for mine. Though it took some time but I finally received it, well all I can say is that it fell short of my expectations.
First off, When it arrived, I was impressed by the packaging. The projector looked sleek and lightweight. Setting it up was simple—just plug it in, connect via HDMI, and go. The projector claims to support 1080p, but I couldn’t help but notice that the image looked more like 720p, and even then, not a crisp 720p. The colors were dull and lacked vibrancy, and darker scenes were nearly impossible to make out. It’s fine for simple videos or cartoons, but anything visually detailed felt lacking.
Speaking of sound, the built-in speakers were disappointing. They sounded flat and lacked depth, making external speakers almost mandatory for an enjoyable experience. The built-in speaker was mediocre at best. It’s okay for small, quiet rooms, but in a larger space, the sound gets lost. I eventually had to pair it with an external Bluetooth speaker for a decent audio experience, which felt like an extra hassle.
On the positive side, the mini size does make it easy to carry around. I took it to a friend’s house for a movie night, and while it didn’t shine in terms of quality, it was convenient to pack up and set up again. The compact size is perhaps its best feature.

Alternatives
If Magcubic HY300 Pro Projector the doesn’t seem like the right fit, here are some other options you might want to check out. These are great for different budgets and needs, but they generally offer better performance:
- Anker Nebula Capsule
- ViewSonic M1 Mini
- Yaber V2 WiFi Mini Projector
- Epson EF-12 Smart Streaming Laser Projector
- XGIMI MoGo Pro
Each of these alternatives has its pros and cons, so the best one depends on what you’re looking for—whether it’s portability, better brightness, or built-in smart features.
Other User Experience
So many people have left reviews on Amazon about the Magcubic HY300 Pro Projector and their experience using it.
Some had this to say:
!!!! Picture quality and brightness are amazing. The sound however is awful even turned up all the way I can barely hear it l. You definitely have to use a speaker with this device for decent sound. Also I haven’t been successful in getting the Bluetooth to function.

This projector was sold as a smart projector leading me to believe it would have application and would be able to stream from Netflix and or Youtube. These applications were not installed and there are no details online or from the seller as to how to install them or if it’s even possible. The seller told me I would need to stream from my phone which also does not work. Streaming Netflix just shows a black screen while the sound does play from the projector. I would love for the seller to respond with a fix for these issues… until then I give it ZERO stars, I would HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND, and honestly, I am very very unsatisfied as I have an item I cannot use at all. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE. I will change this review once the issues are resolved – I really hope they are.

Conclusion
Overall, Magcubic HY300 Pro Projector might be okay for someone who needs an occasional, low-cost option for projecting basic content. However, if you’re hoping for a cinema-like experience or something for presentations, you’ll likely be disappointed. It’s a “you get what you pay for” situation. Would I recommend it? Only if you’re on a tight budget and willing to manage your expectations. For anything beyond casual use, I’d suggest spending a bit more for a better projector.
