Scammers are sending fake Paypal invoices, claiming you have authorized a Paypal payment from Parisi Studios. They ask you to call the number into paying the invoice or sharing PayPal account, credit card, or bank information.
Don’t be fooled! It’s all a scam!
How Does Parisi Studios Paypal Invoice Scam Work?
The scam involves sending an invoice with a fake PayPal customer service number. When victims call this number, a scammer tricks them into paying the invoice or giving up personal information, like their PayPal account details, credit card, or bank information.
The scammers might also ask victims to install software, claiming it will help recover their money. Instead, this software records their keystrokes or gives the scammer remote access to their computer.
The fake PayPal invoice may have a spoofed URL that looks like “paypal.com” but actually uses a capital ‘I’ instead of a lowercase ‘L’ (paypaI.com). Clicking this link takes victims to a malicious website that asks for their PayPal account details. The scammers then use this information to commit fraud on the victim’s account.
